Autonomy forthe foundry.

Smelteon runs the loop that makes a casting sound: melt chemistry and furnace control, sand molding and coremaking, robotic pouring and mold fill, solidification and cooling, AI X-ray, CT and vision defect inspection, robotic fettling and takt balancing — with an as-cast digital twin that hits target soundness, yield and takt before the pour.

Deployed at the factory edge. Shadow mode first, bounded write-back only after metallurgist approval.

One loop, six stations,no gaps between them.

Incumbents sell a furnace, or a molding line, or an auto-pour cell, or an X-ray box, or an MES. Smelteon runs the whole loop at the factory edge — each station's outcome trains the station before it. Scroll to draw the line.

Every station below is readable without motion; the drawing is presentation only.

A casting is decidedin minutes youcannot see.

01Chemistry drifts heat to heat

Alloy chemistry, temperature, degassing and inoculation decide the metallurgy before a single mold is filled. Fixed recipes and spot spectrometry cannot hold the window across a shift, an alloy change and a scrap-charge variation.

  • Heat-to-heat chemistry drift degrades quality and safety
  • Melting is the plant's largest energy line item
  • Pour-temperature error causes misrun and cold shut
  • The melt
  • The mold
  • The pour
  • The verdict

Nine agents.One orchestrator.

Every agent perceives its station, plans against the twin, acts inside an approved process window, and hands its outcome to the next. Together they are a system of action, not another dashboard.

Melt & Chemistry

Holds furnace melting, alloy chemistry, temperature, degassing and inoculation or nodularization on target — heat after heat, not shift after shift.

Mold & Core

Controls sand molding, coremaking, sand properties and mold quality so geometry and strength arrive right the first time.

Pour & Fill

Drives robotic pouring: ladle and stream, pour temperature, timing and mold fill — the most craft-bound, most dangerous step in the plant.

Solidify & Cool

Controls solidification, cooling curves and shakeout timing, the window where shrinkage porosity and hot tears are decided.

Defect & Inspect

Senses and predicts gas and shrinkage porosity, inclusions, cold shuts, misruns and hot tears from X-ray, CT and vision.

Yield & Takt

Optimizes yield, scrap, melt loss and line balancing across melt, mold and pour so the line runs to takt.

Perceive. Plan. Act.Verify. Log. Retrain.

The loop that turns a foundry from craft-bound to controlled — and the reason every casting makes the next one better.

  1. Perceive

Melt, sand, mold, pour stream, thermal history and casting surfaces are read continuously at the cell — furnace spectrometry, sand lab, pour vision, thermal curves, X-ray, CT and dimensional scans.

  2. Plan

Castwin simulates the pour and solidification for this alloy, geometry and mold state, then proposes melt chemistry, gating, pour and cooling setpoints that hit the soundness, yield and takt target.

  3. Act

Bounded write-back moves furnace, molding, pouring and robot setpoints inside a process window that a metallurgist approved — never outside it.

  4. Verify

Poreon grades the casting against the prediction: porosity, inclusions, cold shuts, misruns, hot tears, dimensions and microstructure.

  5. Log

Every action, approval, override and outcome lands in an immutable, assurance-grade quality and safety audit log tied to the casting's genealogy.

  6. Retrain

Corrections from metallurgists and inspection outcomes train the models — the melter's, molder's and pourer's craft, encoded and compounding.

What a plant directorfinally gets to see.

Real-time melt chemistry, sand quality, pour, solidification, defects, yield and casting genealogy across melt, mold and pour — in one place, with every agent action logged and reversible.

Six products.One perceive–decide–act loop.

Each product lands standalone on the Cell tier and expands into the Factory platform. They share one factory-edge runtime, one metallurgy-and-defect data flywheel, and one foundry twin.

Meltra

Melt & chemistry

Melt to exact chemistry and temperature, held autonomously heat after heat. Jetson Orin/Thor at the furnace, DGX for training. Feeds on-spec metal to Pourbot, validated by Castwin, correlated with Poreon defect outcomes.

See Meltra

Coreon

Mold & core

Sand, molds and cores made to strength and geometry, batch after batch. Controls sand properties, compaction, core strength and mold quality; supplies sound molds and cores for Pourbot, validated by Castwin.

Pourbot

Pour & fill

Robotic pouring that fills every mold right — temperature, stream and timing autonomous. Jetson Thor with Isaac. Pours Meltra metal into Coreon molds along the Castwin plan, and is corrected by Poreon's defect root cause.

Poreon

Defect & inspect

See every pore, inclusion and cold shut before the casting ships. X-ray, CT and vision fusion on Jetson and IGX. Grades every casting and feeds root cause back to every upstream agent.

Castwin

As-cast twin

Hit target soundness, yield and takt before the metal ever pours. Omniverse and OVX. GPU-accelerated pouring and solidification simulation that hands optimized setpoints to Meltra, Coreon and Pourbot.

Sizing from Smelteon's market analysis. SOM is the three-year obtainable share.

The people whoown the scrap number.

We could simulate a pour offline and we could X-ray the result. Nothing connected the two on the shift that mattered. Smelteon closes that gap at the cell.

Shadow. Assist.Bounded control.

Autonomy is earned one gate at a time. Nothing writes back to a furnace, a molding line, a pouring cell or a robot until golden-set performance, process-window checks, rollback paths and a metallurgist's approval log support the move.
